TeKoP – Technology-based competence-oriented testing
The project is developing a training that enables examination staff, trainers and teachers in the training occupations of industrial clerk and office management clerk to develop competence-oriented examination tasks and implement them.
Teachers and examiners have extensive experience in drawing up tasks for examinations and formal tests. Technology-based competence-oriented examination assignments represent a new challenge.
The TeKoP project aims to deliver training to examination staff and teachers in the training occupations of industrial clerk and office management clerk that will enable them to develop competence-oriented and technology-based examination tasks themselves. The training is based on results which have emerged from the ASCOT projects CoBALIT and DomPLIK.
Participants are taught how to create competence-oriented and technology-based examination tasks for industrial clerks and how to check the quality of assignments on the basis of quality criteria. The tasks developed are piloted using trainees and evaluated with regard to diagnostic effectiveness. Investigations are also taking place as to whether the participants are also able to develop competence-oriented and technology-based examination tasks for the occupation of office management clerk. This will determine whether the training has enabled the desired competence objectives to be achieved.
After the end of the study, the aim is that the teaching staff who have received training will transfer the concept into examination practice by acting as multipliers and using a tasks platform, handbooks and training materials. The training concept and all materials will be made freely available as an online-based tool.
