Nursing occupations make high demands on the professional, social and emotional competencies of employees. Inter-professional cooperation competence, i.e. the ability to work together with representatives of other occupational groups, is highly significant. Nursing is also frequently associated with high degrees of mental stress which are typical to the profession, and staff require effective strategies in order to overcome this.

For this reason, the EKGe project is developing digital assessment instruments in order to be able to record both inter-professional cooperation competence and trainees’ abilities to deal with mental pressures. A further aim is to seek to strengthen the coping competence of trainees via a newly developed digital teaching-learning medium. The project is building on the results achieved by the ASCOT project TEMA.

EKGe is also examining the general conditions governing nursing training. A mobile app is being developed to allow quality to be recorded over the course of training. The results of the ASCOT SiKoFak form one of the foundations for this.
